Maya is an environmental specialist who supports First Environment’s greenhouse gas (GHG) services through verification of GHG inventories and offset projects across regulatory and voluntary programs. She graduated from the University of California, Davis with a degree in Environmental Policy and a concentration in Water Management. At First Environment, her work centers on evaluating emissions inventories and emission reduction projects for a range of industries, including dairy farms, coal mines, power plants, and landfills. Maya’s background also includes research on climate‑related environmental impacts and water resource challenges, along with experience developing strategies to address both. Her technical skill set spans GHG measurement and verification, water management, and emission reduction regulations, and she is proficient in ArcGIS Pro, R Studio, and Environmental Impact Assessments.
