First Environment is committed to helping our clients continually improve their environmental performance and management. In support of this mission, we have provided regulatory compliance and permitting services to a broad range of public and private sector clients, including hospitals, colleges, universities, industrial facilities, municipal facilities, and federal agencies. Our team of regulatory experts includes Certified Professional Environmental Auditors (CPEAs), Certified Hazardous Material Managers (CHMMs), Juris Doctorates (JDs), PhD level scientists, and various state-licensed Professional Engineers (PEs). With this diverse team we assist facilities in maintaining compliance with state and federal air, water, and solid waste regulations, among others.
First Environment regularly conducts multi-media facility audits to assess compliance with state and federal regulations pertaining to: the Clean Air Act; spill prevention, control, and countermeasure (SPCC) plans; stormwater pollution prevention plans (SPPP); underground and aboveground petroleum storage; universal and hazardous waste storage; recycling procedures; cultural resources; natural resources; NEPA; CERCLA; environmental noise; asbestos and lead-based paint; and wastewater management. Notably, over the past five years our trained and certified environmental compliance audit staff has conducted more than 200 multi-media environmental compliance audits and management system reviews for a variety of private and public clients.
