Steven is a geophysicist with 35 years of experience in oil and gas operations, well integrity, and environmental data analytics. He began his career at Schlumberger running open-hole and cased-hole logging, perforation, and production logging, and served as District Radiation Safety Engineer managing Nuclear Regulatory Commission compliance. He spent two years in BP Exploration’s corrosion engineering group on the Alaska North Slope, followed by twelve years at PGS, where he built velocity models for seismic imaging on data from hundreds of offshore and onshore wells across international basins. At First Environment, Steven builds GIS-enabled dashboards and reporting platforms that integrate spatial, regulatory, and subsurface data for federal environmental programs. His independent research on abandoned and orphaned well failure and the financial assurance frameworks behind it was presented to the American Bar Association Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources in April 2026. That research is his own and is not First Environment work product.
