Congratulations to Our Newest LSRP: David DeGhetto!

We’re excited to report that our own Dave DeGhetto recently passed his exam to practice as a Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) in the state of New Jersey. With this addition, First Environment has six LSRPs on staff.

Dave has been a part of our site investigation and remediation team since 2008 serving in varying roles, including as an intern, field technician, geologist, and project manager for a variety of complex technical projects throughout the New Jersey/New York metropolitan region. He has a strong level of understanding in OSHA program obligations and has supported site investigation and remediation projects in both residential and industrial settings. His project experience includes conducting on-site groundwater and soil sampling as well as overseeing fieldwork and construction efforts for remedial projects, including monitoring well installation, soil excavation, and site delineation for a variety of residential and industrial sites. Dave also supports First Environment’s regulatory compliance and insurance services groups. He is a member of the City of Clifton’s Environmental Commission as well as the Passaic River Community Advisory Group.

About New Jersey’s LSRP Program:

The Site Remediation Reform Act set forth sweeping changes to the way in which sites are remediated in New Jersey. SRRA established the affirmative obligation for responsible parties to remediate contaminated sites in a timely manner and created a category of remediation professionals known as LSRPs, who are deemed qualified and licensed by the Site Remediation Professional Licensing Board. LSRPs conduct the remediation of sites in New Jersey, including oversight of environmental investigations and cleanups. They are bound by a strict code of ethics, violation of which could result in the assessment of penalties and the suspension or revocation of the LSRP’s license. The LSRP’s highest priority is protection of public health and safety and the environment.
