Mannington Mills, a global textile and flooring company, wanted to enhance its Environmental Management System initiatives. We performed an in-depth analysis of data previously submitted to a building products software, Building for Environmental and Economic Sustainability (BEES). Our team used LCA to assess the environmental aspects associated with current and new flooring products. The study entailed collecting, analyzing, and modeling current and existing data, performing Life Cycle Impact Analyses, and performing a variety of scenario analyses in order to evaluate where improvements could be made at their facilities and along the supply chain.

The company is currently using the results of the life cycle assessment to re-evaluate potential process changes that will reduce the product’s impact to the environment.
