California Climate Action Registry

First Environment is approved by the California Energy Commission to act as a certifier for the California Climate Action Registry (www.climateregistry.org). The Registry provides organizations with a means to document their GHG emissions and reduction efforts.

We are also approved as a qualified technical assistant for California Registry participants.

ISO 14064

We are centrally involved in the development of ISO 14064, a three part standard for determining and verifying GHG emissions.  Read our FAQ on ISO 14064

To construct and shape the Standard, Tod Delaney, President of First Environment, is responsible for coordinating and managing the myriad comments from the international panel of experts collaborating on the issue.

Work on this international standard began in June 2002 and it is expected to be finalized in June 2005.
